Interest and investment in Airdrie continues to increase. With an average annual population growth rate of 8.3% over the past five years, a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and easy access to the services, suppliers and infrastructure offered in Calgary, investors know Airdrie is a wise choice.

In a report completed by Alberta Venture magazine in June 2009, Airdrie was identified as one of the Top 10 Communities to do Business in Alberta citing the city's access to the Calgary market, transportation and progressive business climate as strengths. Airdrie was also highlighted as of the five fastest growing nodes in Alberta.

In 2008, Airdrie was recognized as one of the Top 10 Ten Communities in Alberta to invest in by the Real Estate Investment Network.
