Here you will find information on the process leading up to the annexation and on the impacts of the annexation including FAQ's. NEWS
(NEW) Welcome Letters to New Residents --- Please be advised that some residents in Rocky View County received a "Welcome to Airdrie" letter in error. The letter was intented to go to those residents whose property was annexed and have recently become citizens of Airdrie. Please accept our sincere apologies for the confusion this caused. Please disregard the letter if you received it in error.
Annexation Approved by Province, March 22, 2012 ---The Province of Alberta Approves the proposed Airdrie Annexation. The City is currently working with the County on transitioning services. Click to view the Board Order in Council.
Municipal Government Board (MGB) Annexation Hearing, November 23, 2011 ---The MGB heard presentations from the City, County and Landowners outside of the Annexation Area. Folloiwng the presentation the MBG will review the Annexaiton Application and make a final recommendation to the Province of Alberta.
