Rik Emmett of Triumph

Hall of Famer Rik Emmett was a relatively unknown singer/songwriter/guitarist on the local Toronto scene in September of 1975 when he joined a newly formed hard rock trio called Triumph. By 1979, three albums had gone gold and platinum in Canada - two of these charted in the United States, receiving serious radio airplay. By 1981 they were firmly established as one of the premier touring rock acts in North America. Emmett has played solo or with his own band since 1990, playing rock, jazz, blues and classical. There are no musical boundaries for Rik.

During the second portion of the evening, a one act play, “Security”, written by Calgary playwright Neil Fleming will be performed. Rik Emmett of Triumph
Rock (Professional Series)
Hall of Famer Rik Emmett was a relatively unknown singer/songwriter/guitarist on the local Toronto scene in September of 1975 when he joined a newly formed hard rock trio called Triumph. By 1979, three albums had gone gold and platinum in Canada - two of these charted in the United States, receiving serious radio airplay. By 1981 they were firmly established as one of the premier touring rock acts in North America. Emmett has played solo or with his own band since 1990, playing rock, jazz, blues and classical. There are no musical boundaries for Rik.
