Although our Super Heroes have some amazing super powers, it is not as easy as one might think for them to save the day. A number of super-foul-ups, through no fault of their own, help the young boy and girl learn that they are quite capable of helping themselves; that there is a hero in all of us and that every one of us is just as special as everyone else.

This will be a foot-stomping, toe-tapping evening full of good old-time fiddle music. This group plays for the people and for their love of the music. It is just good old fashioned fun!

Celebrate the spirit of Christmas this season with a beautiful collection of Celtic and Christmas music from around the world, exquisitely performed on exotic instruments by 2007 Juno Award winners for Best Roots/Traditional Album Group and “Alberta’s First Family of Celtic Music!” Featured members of this family group are harpist Terry McDade and The McDades: Shannon, Solon and Jeremiah. This show is sure to excite and satisfy the whole family and is performed with the energy and virtuosity that we have come to expect from the McDade clan.

Juno Award winning singer-songwriter James Keelaghan is one of Canada's most successful and respected musicians, and one of the brightest stars on the world folk scene today. The idea for James' Christmas show originated with his wife wondering how it could be that her husband's favourite movie is A Christmas Carol, considering he was so humbug about the holiday. Joined by Zav RT on piano and violin, Losing My Scrooge recounts in story and song how James came to rediscover the holidays after the birth of his first child.

Presents "The Super Hero Club" A young girl and boy running from a nefarious evil doer turn to the elite members of The Super Hero Club for help. Although our Super Heroes have some amazing super powers, it is not as easy as one might think for them to save the day. A number of super-foul-ups, through no fault of their own, help the young boy and girl learn that they are quite capable of helping themselves; that there is a hero in all of us and that every one of us is just as special as everyone else.

Singer-songwriter Alex*Cuba’s trademark melodies, pop-soul hooks and rock chords subtly subvert commonly held notions of what Cuban music is. His second album “Agua del Pozo” (Water From The Well), has topped the iTunes charts, won him two consecutive Juno Awards, and taken him on tours across the UK, Japan, and America. With a heart as big as his retro ‘fro, Cuba takes it in stride and focuses on what he does best: crafting songs that cut through linguistic barriers like a machete through sugarcane.

After eleven albums and countless tours of the UK, Europe and North America with Spirit of the West, John Mann strips down to his alt-folk roots for his one-man show. In his most recent record, December Looms, Mann’s songs are beautiful melodies with emotionally honest lyrics that capture the intimate moments of his hometown of Vancouver — its occupants, the fragile details of their dysfunctional love and the loss of a city’s innocence.

Jeff Martin, once a member of the seminal Canadian band, The Tea Party is an extraordinary talent. His remarkable voice and skills as a multi-instrumentalist make his solo shows legendary and this is evident in his loyal and ever growing fan base worldwide. Jeff continues to draw his inspiration from around the globe, channeling his love of eastern instruments, tunings and all things exotic into a new form of world music that transcends genres and removes barriers continually. Jeff Martin will be performing a set of Tea Party classics and rarities as well as covering his solo offerings and some newly found treasures from The Armada.

Get ready to trash all you thought you knew about the harmonica. Playing a ten hole diatonic harmonica, Carlos has developed the unique ability to play chromatically by using a recently developed "overblow" technique taught to him by jazz virtuoso Howard Levy. Overall, this approach to the diatonic harmonica, although much more difficult to achieve, is in many ways more expressive and communicative than the mechanized tone produced by the chromatic harmonica. The sophisticated sound produced by del Junco is at once sensitive, soulful, and sexy while never forgetting the rawness inherent in blues music.

An amazing guitar trio of Mediterranean Magic, Triumphant Fusion & Hot Latin Fire has arrived. The three experienced guitarists, all from widely different backgrounds, have forged brilliant solo careers independently, garnering many awards and winning the hearts of their respective fans as well as international accolades and critical praise for their individual talents and bodies of work. With TRIFECTA, they now have a common identity – one heart and soul, dedicated to the romantic spirit of the guitar. This trio conjures up a thrilling alchemy of musical styles and culture that is a rare, magnificent, once-in-a-lifetime concert experience for any music lover.

As 5440 approaches their 30th anniversary, the band is pleased to announce a series of performances and projects celebrating their longevity and legacy. 5440 will be recreating their classic "Green Album" live from top to bottom. The album, released in 1986 on Reprise Records, featured the hit songs "Baby Ran" and "I Go Blind", and was their first album to find major distribution. Coinciding with the emergence of the nation's music station, MuchMusic, the album placed 5440 firmly in the Canadian musical landscape and is often considered their best work.
