Thanks Airdrie for a GREAT Centennial Weekend!

At all our events this weekend we had tons of people, performers and volunteers! I really would just like to thank all our volunteers once again!

For the last four years, we have had a group of dedicated volunteers working tirelessly and selflessly on all the Centennial projects and events that have happened this year and this past weekend.

Because of the commitment and hard work of this group of volunteers, we have captured Airdrie's history, celebrated our past and provided a legacy for future generations.

The accomplishments of the Centennial Committee will live forever in this community.

Airdrie is known as a place where events planned by the community for the community are well supported, attended and above all appreciated by all Airdrie residents.

If you were lucky enough to attend a Centennial related event, I encourage you to continue on with this positive energy and be the change you wish to see in Airdrie!

Volunteer your time, help organize a community event, talk with your neighbors and share the dreams of what you would like to see in Airdrie. I invite you to continue building your community, never doubt your forward thinking, your action and of course your hard work. These are just some of the values that have helped us get to where we are now and as we move into the next 100 years they will surely continue to define Airdrie as a very special place to live.

Mayor Linda Bruce
