Streets

Engineering Services reviews street plans for all new subdivisions within the City to ensure current and future commuter needs are met. Engineering Services has a pavement management system helping plan roadway rehabilitation needs.

2012 Roadworks
Engineering Services oversees yearly road improvement and rehabilitation projects. These improvements are based on growth and economic feasibility; rehabilitation projects are determined with the help of our pavement management system.

Street Cleaning
Developers are responsible for monitoring and keeping the streets clean until Final Acceptance Certificates (FAC) has been approved. View developer maintained areas. Once FAC approval has been received the City of Airdrie Public Works department is responsible for street sweeping. Public Works has an annual spring cleaning program and will further monitor roadways and clean on an as needed basis.



Street Lights
To report a street light repair request:

1) Report a street light problem in your neighborhood using the Fortis Alberta online form.

Snow Removal
Public Works snow removal policy determines how roadways are maintained so as to maximize resources, minimize cost to the community and ensure safe access for residents and emergency vehicles.
