The City of Airdrie Great Places Parks Master Plan was endorsed by City Council in December 2006. The Great Places Plan provides a 25 year vision and plan for open space development in Airdrie. Citizens of Airdrie were engaged at several events through 2006 and asked to provide input to staff as to what were our great places and what we were lacking for open space development in Airdrie. Some of the highlights of the plan include: a vision and principles for park development, townscape analysis, a comprehensive concept of open space development, and an implementation section which provides action strategies. are some variances between the City of Airdrie and City of Calgary
