East Lake Park Update

• Tree and Shrub planting completed with the beds having been mulched to retain moisture.
• Irrigation main line work completed.
• Bridge and viewing decks construction underway, completion estimated early August 2010.
• Asphalt pathway realign and new path construction underway, completion estimated mid August 2010.
• Site furniture (benches, trash & recycle bins) to follow asphalt completion.
• Area clean up and rehab to follow site furnishings.

• New playgrounds at Jensen Park
  
• Historical markers and interpretive signs planned for installation around the city (installed)
  
• Parks Bylaw presented and awaiting final approval for 2009 (Approved)
  
• Work on the pathways this year includes both repair of existing as well as the construction of new pathways.

• Native planting in the riparian zone of the creek. This will be smaller native plant stock, and planted in conjunction with other associations and volunteer groups.
