Effective April 1, 2012, the City of Airdrie has approved the following fee structure for the services offered by the Airdrie RCMP:

Criminal Record Checks
**Cash ONLY and exact change preferred**
**Takes 4 weeks to process**

  • Must have 2 pieces of government-issued identification, at least one of which must be photo ID
  • Must be a resident of the City of Airdrie
  • Fees:
    • Employment - $35.00
    • Volunteers/Students - $10.00
    • Adoptive/Foster Families - $35.00 (per family)

Those requesting a Criminal Record Check who are working or volunteering with the Vulnerable Sector (children, seniors and vulnerable people) may be required to provide fingerprints if their date of birth and sex are a match to a known offender.

**Please note: Every volunteer or student must have a letter from the organization requesting the Criminal Record Check. This letter:

  • Must be on letterhead
  • Must include the applicant’s name
  • Must specify that they are a volunteer or student (unpaid position or practicum)
  • Must specify that they need a Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Must be signed by the requestor/organization
  • Must be an original

The Airdrie R.C.M.P. will not begin the application process without this letter.          

Fingerprinting Fee: $35.00 - Cash ONLY - exact change preferred

Electronic Fingerprinting Fee (LIVESCAN): $25.00 - Cash (EXACT change only) or Money Order Payable to Receiver General 

Requests for Police Reports - Criminal and Collisions: $25.00   

Applying for a Pardon
In order to apply for a pardon, you must have been convicted of a federal offence as an adult, and it must be at least three years since you have completed your sentence.

Paying a violation ticket (NOT payable at the RCMP)
Violation tickets may be paid at any Registry Office or Provincial Court. You must bring the ticket with you when making a payment. You may also pay the ticket using the internet by following the instructions on the website at http://www.finepayment.gov.ab.ca
There will be a service fee applied at a Registry Office or if you use the website.
