Ron Ebbesen Arena (formerly known as the Twin Arena)

The arena includes:
- 2 ice surfaces
- Blue with a seating capacity of 460
- Gold with a seating capacity of 200
- 150 seat licensed viewing lounge with food service located upstairs
- Boardroom for arena user groups
- Pro Skate Shop
- Airdrie Edge Gymnastics Club is situated in the Northeast side of the complex - this club will be moving to Genesis Place effective the first week of January, 2010
The Ron Ebbesen Arena is home to the Airdrie Minor Hockey Association, Airdrie Ringette Association, Airdrie Skating Club, and the Airdrie Edge Gymnastics Club.
Plainsmen Arena

The arena includes:
- 1 ice surface with a seating capacity of 400
- Airdrie Judo Club is located in the mezzanine area
- 1 outdoor boarded ice surface during winter months
- a playground and the Kinsmen Splash Park are in the adjacent park area
Outdoor Rinks
There are five other outdoor ice surfaces located in various Airdrie parks.

Public Skating Times
These free skate times run October 1st to March 15th each year
Ron Ebbesen Arena:
- Blue Ice – Parent & Tot Skating from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesdays
- Blue Ice – Female Shinny Hockey from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Fridays
- Blue Ice – Adult Shinny Hockey from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Fridays
- Gold Ice - Public Skating from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. on Wednesdays
- Gold Ice – Parent & Tot Skating from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Fridays
- Gold Ice – Public Skating from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays
Plainsman Arena:
- Public Skating from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Sundays
These free skate times run April 1st to June 30th each year

City of Airdrie - Free Skate Safety Guidelines
CSA (Canadian Standards Association) International certified helmets are required to be worn by all skaters aged 12 years and under for Public Skating and Parent & Tot Skating and are highly recommended for all other skaters.
CSA (Canadian Standards Association) International certified helmets are required to be worn by all shinny hockey players and full equipment is highly recommended.
All participants MUST wear skates while on the ice surface. Those without skates will not be permitted on the ice surface.
Chairs, sleds, strollers, pylons and other obstructions are not permitted on the ice surface during Public Skating. Skate aids are permitted on the ice surface during Parent & Tot Skating ONLY.
Food and drink are not permitted on the ice surface.
Refrain from carrying children on shoulders or in arms while skating.
The use of hockey sticks is not permitted during Public Skating ice times.
Please skate at a sensible speed, adhere to the directions of arena staff members and immediately report all accidents or injuries to arena staff members on duty.
Participants displaying unacceptable behavior (excessive speed, horseplay, acting out or foul language) will be asked to leave the arena premises.
Fighting, weapons, drugs or alcohol will absolutely NOT BE TOLERATED under any circumstances and will result in immediate expulsion from the arena premises.
