The City of Airdrie has a bulk water station located at 15 East Lake Hill. There are two ways in which the water may be accessed.
Coin Operated - The bulk water can be accessed through the use of coins. Loonies and Toonies may be used (220 gallons of water is dispensed for $4.00). The coin operated system has a 2 inch line with a male quick coupling end. This method is recommended for those requiring water on an irregular basis.
Key-Lock System - For regular users the key-lock system is suggested. The company requesting this service would register with City of Airdrie City Hall and be issued a key. A $100 deposit is required per key. Access to the bulk water station is on a 24 hour basis. The key-lock system has a 3 inch overhead line for top filling. Billing occurs once a month.
Both systems operate at the same cost which is $4.00/cubic meter.
For health reasons the City requires all users utilize a topload system with an air gap two times the diameter of the fill pipe.
