How do the Pre-authorized payment plans work?
The plan runs continuously throughout the year, you can sign up at any time.
Once you are enrolled in the plan you will continue to receive a bill each month. Your bill will show the amount and date your payment was deducted from your bank account. If you have any questions regarding your bill, you can contact us at (403) 948-8859. You may withdraw from the plan at any time by giving written notice at least two weeks before the next payment date. Any outstanding balances become due and are subject to penalties in accordance with City Bylaw 934.
When is the payment withdrawn from my account?
Withdrawals can be made on the 31st of each month. Sufficient funds or bank approved overdraft protection should be available on the bank account when payment is withdrawn to avoid NSF charges. Any payment returned NSF would result in termination of the plan and a NSF fee being added to the account. All outstanding balances and NSF fees become subject to penalties.
What if my bank account changes?
If you change your bank account number, please advise the City of Airdrie by providing a new VOID cheque at least two weeks prior to the next payment date.
How do I join the pre-authorized plans?
You can join the pre-authorized payment plan at any time through the year:- If your utility account is paid in full;
- If you have banking privileges at a financial institution;
- View and complete our application form on-line. Please allow 14 days for the account information to be updated
