AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – A City of Airdrie ICE bus was involved in a collision at approximately 4:30p.m. on September 10. An unknown number of passengers were transported to hospital. Their conditions are not known to the City of Airdrie at this time. The unharmed passengers have been transported back to Airdrie.
“Our hearts and minds are with those involved in the accident,” says Michelle Lock, Director of Community Services. “Our highest priority is rider safety and we will investigate this incident in conjunction with our contracted service provider,” adds Lock.
The accident took place on Centre Street at McKnight Blvd in NE Calgary. There were approximately 67 passengers on the bus at the time of the collision.
The City of Airdrie will supply additional information as it becomes available.
