April 7, 2014/ For Immediate Release
Airdrie, ALBERTA – Residents of Airdrie will see a wealth of construction activity over the next six months which will improve connectivity throughout the city and aid in keeping up with the City’s rapid growth.
A number of major capital projects, previously identified in road studies, are now set to be completed according to Engineering Services when they updated Council members at their regular Council meeting.
“We are building the roads we need today; building them strategically with present and future growth in mind,” says Mayor Peter Brown. “Projects such as 40 Ave west which will eventually link 8Street and 24 Street are the building blocks for our future road networks,” says Brown.
Residents should watch for construction traffic and follow all traffic signage.
