Online City services now available to residents and business owners

AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – On Monday, December 1, 2014, the City of Airdrie launched MyAirdrie, a new feature on airdrie.ca that allows residents and business owners to pay for specific City services online.

“MyAirdrie will allow residents to renew their dog and business licenses, and pay their utilities and taxation bills and view their assessment notices, as well as pay bylaw fines, online,” explains Lucy Wiwcharuk, Director of Corporate Services. “This feature was developed in response to feedback from citizens and staff that asked for more online services.”

Numerous City departments worked together on the project for more than a year, working with internal resources and external vendors to ensure MyAirdrie would be simple to use and meet rigorous security standards.

“Residents and business owners can register quickly and easily. Once registered, users can see current bills, past bills, make full or partial payments, and print current and past bills,” says Wiwcharuk. “MyAirdrie is secure and confidential, and we hope to see our residents and business owners utilizing it.”

The City has plans to add additional services, including permit, dog and business license applications, over the next year.
