October 13, 2016

AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – The City of Airdrie has released its 2015 Annual Community Social Report, and invites residents to view the report online to see the difference the city and province are making in the community.

The City of Airdrie Social Planning Department created this 2015 Annual Community Social Report to highlight the successes of FCSS funded preventive programs as depicted through art, storytelling and data collected from the programs in 2015. The report also speaks to volunteerism, social investment and Community Development partnership programs and events that help develop strong neighbourhoods through community facilitation and Community Investment Funds.

“The report demonstrates the positive changes that the City, in partnership with community organizations, has on the daily lives of individuals and families through FCSS and Community Development. Residents are encouraged to make use of this report, whether as a storybook, a colouring book, or for information on community events and programming. Our role is to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Airdrie,” says Cathy O'Donoghue, Social Planning Coordinator.
