AMSQ welcomes new board members

AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – Airdrie Main Street Square Real Estate Inc. (AMSQ), a wholly-owned for-profit subsidiary of the City of Airdrie, welcomes new members to the Board of Directors. Martin Durocher, Dustin Fedun and Art Skow join existing board members Mayor Peter Brown, Councillor Allan Hunter and Councillor Candice Kolson, with one position yet to be filled.

“I am pleased to welcome Martin Durocher, Dustin Fedun and Art Skow to the AMSQ Board,” said Chair of the Board, Mayor Peter Brown. “Each member’s expertise will be of great value as we continue to manage the real estate holdings within this corporation and plan for the future.”

Martin Durocher has been an Airdrie resident since 1978 and has served on various boards and committees at the Municipal and Provincial level. He has owned a small business since 1979 and is currently a licensed Alberta Realtor with a background in commercial construction, sales and marketing.

Dustin Fedun, his wife Tarra, and their two children Ashley and Evan are 12 year residents of Airdrie where they can frequently be found out in the community at galas, poker tournaments, sporting events, and volunteering. Dustin brings a wealth of municipal board membership, people and contractor management, as well as financing and accounting experience to this appointment.

Art Skow has over 30 years of experience in managing commercial real estate.  He has worked for Bentall Kennedy since 2005 and is vice-president, Property Management, Alberta responsible for providing property management services for a portfolio of 14 million square feet located in Calgary and Edmonton.  Art has his Real Property Administrator designation, a diploma in Urban Land Economics from UBC, is a licensed Real Estate Associate, currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and is President of the Board for the Green Calgary Association.
