Bert Church Live Theatre gearing up for opening day of the 2017-18 season

July 20, 2017 / For Immediate Release

AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – Bert Church Live Theatre (BCT) is only one month away from the start of the 2017-18 season. This season will offer more than 30 productions ranging from live music, theatre, comedy, family-friendly shows and special holiday performances. To kick-off this season, reggae artist Caleb Hart, will bring an energetic performance of what he calls “island soul” music to the stage on Aug. 20, 2017 at 2 p.m.

“Caleb Hart is a great show for anyone who enjoys reggae, soul, gospel, and calypso music. He is an artist that can get people up and moving while imagining they’re on vacation,” says Eric Temple, program coordinator at BCT. “This performance is the perfect show for summer.”

In addition to the soulful sounds of Caleb Hart, BCT will host a pre-show block party on Aug. 20 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., free for Airdrie residents. This family fun event will feature food trucks, local performers and games.

“By hosting the family block party before the first show of our season, we hope to contribute to the close-knit community atmosphere that is evident throughout Airdrie,” says Theresa Cochran, team leader at BCT. “As Airdrie’s artistic hub, BCT offers something for everyone. From the wide-range of shows we offer to our children and adult programs, we want the community to know that the whole family can enjoy something at the Theatre.
