Airdrie businesses: we want to hear from you

Feb. 7, 2018 / For Immediate Release

AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – The City of Airdrie is conducting its Business Satisfaction Survey and encourages local businesses to respond online.

Airdrie’s locally-based, licenced businesses are invited to participate. The survey takes less than 15 minutes to complete and is intended for the business owner, primary manager, CEO/president or vice president. The survey will be conducted by Banister Research Limited. Businesses are encouraged to respond online, as it’s the most cost-effective way to collect the data.

“The survey will ask business information on many topics related to the economy, business operating environment and issues, challenges and opportunities for businesses in Airdrie,” said Kent Rupert, Team Leader of Economic Development. “We use the findings to develop programs and services to ensure Airdrie is a place where businesses can grow and thrive.”

As an incentive, businesses that complete the survey online, will be entered into a draw to win a business profile in the WORKlife section of the fall 2018 airdrielife magazine. This profile is valued at $5600 (conditions apply). To encourage early responses, businesses that complete the survey online by February 16, will also be entered a draw for a complimentary 2019 City of Airdrie Business License Renewal.

Businesses will receive two emails regarding the survey. One from Airdrie Economic Development, followed by one from Banister Research Limited with a link to the web-based survey. The survey closes March 2, 2018. Depending on the response to the web survey, Banister may survey some businesses by telephone. If you are a licenced Airdrie business and have not received a link, please contact one of our Economic Development Officers.

Results will be compiled and presented to City Council, administration and the business community this spring. All responses are confidential, and results will be aggregated.

If a business has questions about the survey or has not provided an email address to the City of Airdrie and wishes to do so, please call Airdrie Economic Development at 403.948.8844. To view results from the 2015 survey, visit
