May 15, 2018 / For Immediate Release

AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – airdrieFEST 2018 is now accepting vendor applications for the Saturday afternoon family street festival on Sept. 8 running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. outside of City Hall. Forty additional vendor booths have been added to the street festival to increase the vendor number to 180. New and exciting this year is “Music on Main”, a kick-off event to the annual outdoor festival that will be held on Friday, Sept. 7 from 6 to 10 p.m. where people will enjoy beer gardens and live music.

“airdrieFEST is one of Airdrie’s premier outdoor festivals featuring local, non-profit organizations and local businesses,” says Kim Harris, community developer with the City of Airdrie. “Each year, airdrieFEST continues to grow and we are thrilled that our event will be expanded into two days with the introduction of Music on Main. Last year, we doubled our attendance from 2016 and had a 20 per cent increase in vendor booths.”

Vendors can register at airdriefest.ca. For profit businesses can purchase a booth for $105 while non-profit groups can obtain booth space for $55.

airdrieFEST, which is now in its ninth year, is organized by a committee of community partners including: Airdrie Public Library, Boys and Girls Club, SLAM in Airdrie, Airdrie Chamber of Commerce, Airdrie Mainstreet Square, Volunteer Airdrie, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the City of Airdrie.
