June 6, 2018 / For Immediate Release

AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – On Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 10 a.m. the Canada Day Parade will take place on Main Street. Road closures will begin at 9 a.m. and a portion of Main Street (in front of City Hall) will remain closed from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. to host a Canada Day Family Fun Carnival. The Alberta Health Services (AHS) Urgent Care Centre at 604 Main St. SE will remain open during this time.

Starting at 9 a.m., two access points to Urgent Care (at Allen Street and Main Street, and First Avenue north and Main Street) will be manned by Emergency Responders who can provide a preliminary patient assessment and/or escort to the Urgent Care Centre.

The curb lane closest to the Urgent Care Centre, between First Avenue north and Allen Street, will be blocked off to ensure access to Urgent Care.

Residents are encouraged to walk or car pool as there will be limited parking in the area throughout the day; the Urgent Care parking lot is strictly for Urgent Care patients and staff members.
