An On Demand driver will pick them up and take them to one of seven designated On Demand Transfer points (listed below), where they can continue on their journey using their monthly pass or a transfer. The On Demand service will extend to all urban areas of Airdrie, including communities such as Hillcrest, Ravenswood and Bay Springs which currently have no public transit options.

On Demand transfer points include:

2. Genesis Place

Route 900 (effective September 5, 2017)

Route 900 will now provide local service along Main Street in Airdrie from the South Terminal to Gateway Drive operating every 60 minutes (previously every 75 minutes) from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. When travelling to Calgary, Route 900 will now stop at Southbound 36 Street at 26 Avenue (Peter Lougheed Centre) and the Rundle LRT Station where users are able to connect to Calgary Transit services. This route will no longer stop at McKnight-Westwinds LRT Station. This route will continue to provide service to CrossIron Mills from both Airdrie and northeast Calgary.

Route 901/902 (effective September 5, 2017)

Route 901/902 will now include 7 trips per day (previously only five trips) and will provide direct service to and from Airdrie and Calgary via Deerfoot Trail/Highway 2. This route will no longer run along Centre Street in Calgary or provide morning service from McKnight-Westwinds LRT.

ACCESS Airdrie (effective September 5, 2017)

The introduction of OnDemand Transit will provide more capacity to book ACCESS Airdrie trips. This will result in fewer unaccommodated trips and more trips available during peak times.

Further details regarding service recommendations, including the anticipated implementation timelines are available in the Transit Master Plan.
