Rogers Hometown Hockey

Airdrie is an official stop on the Rogers Hometown Hockey 2017-18 tour!

Hometown hockeyThe City of Airdrie is excited to welcome Rogers Hometown Hockey, hosted by Ron MacLean and Tara Slone on Dec. 16 & 17, 2017. In every Canadian city, town and arena there's a great hockey story and Rogers Hometown Hockey will share these stories as they travel the country and connect with communities, families, and hockey fans each and every week.

The Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour is a season long, touring hockey festival visiting a different Canadian town each weekend for 24 weeks between October 2017 and April 2018.

The weekend activities in Airdrie will begin on Dec. 16 and include live entertainment, NHL alumni visits, and of course, the live pre-game and NHL game broadcast with Ron MacLean and Tara Slone on Dec. 17 when the Calgary Flames will take on the Vancouver Canucks.

This fun-filled free event is open to all Airdrie residents. Airdrie will be featured on the weekly Sunday broadcast (Dec. 17) of Rogers Hometown Hockey on Sportsnet and Sportnet NOW. Live on location from the Sportsnet Mobile Studio is where MacLean and Slone host a pre-game, intermission and post-game show that will highlight Airdrie's culture, hockey history and unique stories.

The event will take place outside at Genesis Place (North and West parking lots – arenas and fitness). As event details are confirmed, they will be posted to this webpage.
