Airdrie Economic Developer Achieves National Designation

The Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) and Airdrie Economic Development are pleased to congratulate Adena Malyk on her completion of the professional designation to become a Certificated Economic Developer (Ec.D.).

In achieving this, Adena joins more than 300 of her colleagues who have successfully completed EDAC’s stringent certification program, which is granted to EDAC members once all certification criteria has been met including recognized training, practical experience, and both oral and written examinations.

Adena is excited to get to work with her new certification. "It amplifies my baseline of the core knowledge of economic development," explains Malyk. "As well, it allows me to bring a broad breadth of knowledge of my role on a day to day basis and substantiates all that I have contributed and continue to contribute to the department and the city overall."

Congratulations to Adena! We are happy to have you at the City of Airdrie!
