Jensen Park
Jensen Park is named after the late Knud and Lilly Jensen who settled in Airdrie in 1938. Knud was active as a village councillor serving for almost 10 years. Lilly was involved in the community throughout her life.
Jensen Park was a horse race track in the 1940’s, a field for Sports Days the whole community came out to, a splash park and now houses the Plainsmen Arena and a gorgeous park and is quickly becoming an outdoor event destination including the Airdrie Farmer’s Market’s new location. Getting married? This gazebo has been used as a backdrop for many weddings.
If you would like to book this park for a special event fill out a Parks and Greenspace application.
