The following is required to ensure this work in accordance with Waterworks Bylaw B30/2016, City of Calgary Standard Specifications Waterworks Construction (current edition), and City of Airdrie General Design Standards & Construction Specifications (current edition). Failure to do so may result in fines.

The City of Airdrie will determine which valves will be operated. It is the responsibility of the Requestor to clearly describe the work being requested. Failure to do so will result in the requested work being denied or delayed.

  • It is the Contractors' responsibility to ensure that water from the mains is not used for drinking and that the mains are not placed into service until satisfactory water quality test results have been received
  • Once the main is connected to the City of Airdrie's Potable Water Distribution System and is full of water, only a City of Airdrie employee who is a certified operator may operate any valve. Permission to have valves operated must be requested
