Music in the Park

This summer we are partnering with the Airdrie Music Festival Association to bring you Music in the Park. Join us every other Thursday evening starting July 4 in Nose Creek Park at the beautiful new amphitheatre for toe tapping tunes and fun for the whole family.

Mark your calendars: July 18, Aug 1, Aug 15 and Aug 29 from 7pm to 9 p.m.

Event schedule

Licensed area and concession open: 6 p.m.
Opening act: 7 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.
Headliner: 8 - 9 p.m.
Site closes: 10 p.m.

Event information

  • Event is open to all ages, free public attendance.
  • Limited bowl seating, bring your own blanket or festival chair, no additional seating on site.
  • Additional parking has been graciously provided by St. Paul's Catholic Church.
  • Concession stand will be open for snacks, drinks and light food service. All proceeds from concession sales will go to support the Airdrie 2020 Alberta Winter Games.
  • In the event of severe weather, including high winds, rain, hail, thunder, lightning and snow - the event will be cancelled.

July 18

Opening Act: Danny Vacon

Creative force behind The Dudes, Danny Vacon is a reigning king of rock in the indie scene. “Personable and laid back, Danny Vacon heads the band providing the soulful vocals fans have grown to know and love. Headliner: Mike Watson

Calgary Blues Music Association Blues Vocalist of the Year 2014. Take the influences of 1920s and 1930s Delta blues, play it through amps and recording technologies of the 1950s, and filter it through the musical sensibilities of a child of the grunge-era 90s, and you have The 6L6s.

August 1

Opening Act: As High As We Go
As High As We Go is Alberta's newest country music group. Formed in 2018, they've spent their summer playing around Calgary and area.

Headliner: Vic Ruggiero & Jory Kinjo
Jory Kinjo brings a unique history to his music and draws from his experiences playing and performing Soul, Ska, Reggae and Rhythm & Blues all over the world. Victor "Vic" Ruggiero is a musician, songwriter and producer from New York City who has played in reggae, blues, ska and rocksteady bands since the early 1990s.

August 15 

Opening Act: Henry White 

Henry White is a singer and songwriter currently living in Airdrie. After years of touring and recording rock music, Henry is focusing on a solo performance career while exploring pop, rock, and blues music. You can find him playing in a rock trio, or solo with a looping pedal. His growing catalogue of original music speaks about life, love, career, and family.

Headliner:  The Groove Crew
A great band formed by a group of master musicians, who are solid, funky and get people moving! Semi-finalists at the 2018 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.

August 29 

Opening Act: Mitch Belot

Mitch Belot entertains with his swampy story telling style and modern rock flare. He hooks audiences with his powerful, smoky voice, and gets them on their feet by incorporating fast tempos and heavy grooves. While he is first and foremost a humble student of the blues, Mitch adds a taste of rock to the naturally ear pleasing sound that permeates his repertoire.

Headliner: Debra Power 

Airdrie resident, Pianist, singer and songwriter Debra Power is known for her powerhouse vocals and sparkling keyboard skills, having built a long list of performance/recording credits across Canada and in the U.S.
