Main St. water main & sanitary/storm sewer upgrades

The City is replacing water and sewer infrastructure and installing new stormwater infrastructure.

The full closure of Main Street versus a partial closure allows the project to be:
• Less expensive
• Completed sooner

The water and sanitary sewer pipe needs to be replaced as the current system is reaching the end of its life cycle.

This project will prepare us for future growth and help ensure that our
infrastructure does not fail at inopportune times. Detour information will be
posted here for each phase of construction.

Timeline update

We understand that this construction will impact residents and businesses. We also know that many businesses have been mandated to close during the COVID-19 global pandemic and residents are being asked to stay home. To try to mitigate the impact on businesses and residents, the City will be continuing construction as scheduled in the hopes of minimizing further disruption once the situation returns to normal. We thank you for your understanding and patience and we will continue to provide updates as we have them.

Refer to above maps for access to businesses, City Hall and Urgent Care.
