Kranked - Cycle (9 -13 year old's)
Kranked (cycle) is a heart and leg pumping workout designed just for youth. All aspects of indoor cycling from proper bike set up to building endurance and confidence will be taught in a safe environment.
We know youth are looking for more opportunities to be active in our Fitness Centre and track and we've responded with new age guidelines.
Supervised Full Access
• 10-15 year olds require active adult 18+ supervision at all times.
Unsupervised Full Access
• 12-15 year olds that have completed youth strength training certification course.
• 16+ full access
We have taken our popular Youth Strength Training course and enhanced it to include more detailed exercise instruction. For youth between the ages of 12-15, learning how to strength train properly is now as easy as 1,2,3! For optimal benefits, each course should be taken sequentially.
Youth Strength Training 1
The original. A certified personal trainer will explain fitness centre rules and etiquette, provide instruction on how to use basic cardio and weight machines, and explain how to apply basic exercise principles. Youth aged 12-15 must complete this course to utilize the fitness centre without parental supervision.
Youth Strength Training 2
The fundamentals. A certified personal trainer will teach the fundamental strength training exercises that youth must master to strength train safely and effectively. The session will provide the necessary foundational skill base for youth to progress towards their own personal fitness goals.
Youth Strength Training 3
The personalized program. Conducted one-on-one with a certified personal trainer, each youth will complete a goal setting session to outline any injuries, past activity history, and future goals. Based on this information, each youth will receive a personalized 6 week exercise program.Please email Personal.Training@airdrie.ca to book.
