Sundays 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., Iron Horse Park
The miniature trains, track and landscape at Iron Horse Park represent the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) from the prairies to the coast. Take the 1.6km interpretive journey aboard one of the 1/8th scale diesel or steam locomotives at the park and get a feeling of what the railway was like in Western Canada during the pioneer days. The journey will take you over hills, across trestles and through tunnels across the varied landscape.
June 1, Season Opening, Airdrie Farmers Market
The Airdrie Farmers Market happens Wednesday afternoons, June to October, in Jensen Park. Showcasing Alberta grown ingredients, farm fresh producers, and Alberta artisans, the Airdrie Farmers Market is destination of its own.

June 4, Airdrie’s first Queer Prom with Airdrie Pride Society
One of our driving beliefs is that youth in the 2SLGBTQ+ community should not have to leave their community to find their community. We want our youth to find connections in their city and celebrate the end of the school year with style. We believe Queer Prom is a great opportunity to support our 2SLGBTQ+ youth who proudly call Airdrie and the surrounding area home. For these reasons and many more, we are passionate to make this new event successful and impactful. We can’t wait to see you there!

June 18, Airdrie Pride Festival and Solidarity Walk
Gather at City Hall at 10:30 a.m. for the land acknowledgement and to introduce all of our pride festivities.
We will begin the walk down Main Street at 11 a.m. It will be lead by the QPOC (Queer People of Colour) community as well as, anyone with mobility difficulties, at the front in order to set the pace and make sure no community member is left behind.
No in-uniform participation.
No political parties.
No second agenda.
Beginning at Airdrie’s City Hall parking lot and moving south along Main Street to the Nose Creek Park Entrance at Allen Street.
Please note: Parking is available at Nose Creek Park, or at Towerlane Mall. There is NO TRANSPORTATION between the two locations. It is approximately a one-kilometre walk.
June 19, 161st birth anniversary of Dr. José Rizal and unveiling of a historical marker
On the occasion of the 161st birth anniversary of Dr. José Rizal on June 19, at 11 a.m. the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) will unveil a historical marker on the monument of the Philippine national hero. The marker measuring 27 x 35 inches is made of cast iron and was shipped from the Philippines.
With the installation of the historical marker, the NHCP recognizes the Rizal Monument in Airdrie as the first of its kind in the Province of Alberta, Canada, and it will be included in the NHCP’s registry of historical structures outside the Philippines.
June 21, National Indigenous People’s Day
Join us on Tuesday, June 21 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. as we celebrate National Indigenous People's Day in Nose Creek Park.
A day to recognize the long history, heritage, culture and diversity of First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples in our area. This event is free and everyone is welcome!
Event will include Elders blessings and prayers, land acknowledgement, acknowledgement from dignitaries as well as live music and dance performances from various Métis and First Nations groups.

Airdrie Pro Rodeo’s roots date back to July 1, 1967. Today the Rodeo includes a Pro and novice Rodeo, cabaret and children's activities. It attracts over 10,000 visitors, volunteers, and athletes each year. As the event has grown, the preserved spirit of community gathering, with that casual atmosphere so fun and upclose, that you may just get a bit dirt in flying your way remains true. An annual top draw affordable event warmed with western culture for people of all ages and backgrounds.
This annual event is organized by the Airdrie Rodeo Ranch Association, a not-for-profit, 100% volunteer driven group of passionate community members who are committed to preserving our rural roots and promoting our great community.

August 6, Summer Classic Car show
The 20th season of this spectacular car show will be held on Saturday, Aug 6! A favourite among car enthusiasts and summer travellers alike. Over 500 hotrods to muscle cars and classic trucks to late model motorcycles, everything is on display. Bring the kids and enjoy everything Nose Creek Regional Park has to offer. Food trucks, concession, playground, picnic tables and on site plumbed washrooms. There is no admission for spectators however a food bank donation is requested. Gates open at 10 a.m. and run until 4 p.m. Every food or cash donation to the food bank gets a ballot to vote on the entry to win the Airdrie Food Bank People’s Choice Award. The front gate opens to pre-registered participants at 7:00 a.m. and non pre-registered participants at 8:00 a.m. Registration runs until noon. Show day reservation is $15 per vehicle.
