The Assessment Review Board (ARB) is an independent quasi-judicial board that hears complaints (appeals) relating to property assessments, business tax notices and other tax notices.

Follow the steps to filing an assessment complaint to ensure you fulfil the legislated requirements.
A hearing is an opportunity to prove the assessment is incorrect or unfair. Hearings are held after the supplementary assessment and assessment notices are mailed and taxpayer appeals are received.
Hearings take place Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (evening hearings may also occur).
Hearings are scheduled online or in person at Airdrie City Hall (400 Main Street SE).
The Assessment Review Board (ARB) is independent from The City of Airdrie Assessment department and is comprised of Airdrie residents appointed by City Council for up to a 3-year term. Members are required to attend a mandatory training session for certification every three years. Certification is a requirement to sit as a member at a hearing.
