Southeast CASP

Located in the southeast quadrant of Airdrie, Southeast Airdrie Community Area Structure Plan consists of approximately 1,024 gross acres and comprised of the  communities of: King’s Heights, Ravenswood and Lanark.

Southeast Airdrie has a wide range of uses within its boundaries and a very diverse housing stock for every stage of life from apartments to estate living, as well as supportive housing and rental opportunities.

Kingsview Market is anchored by a Save-On-Foods and Shoppers Drug Mart, with several coffee shops, pubs, restaurants and personal/professional services.

The light industrial area is home to major employers such as Alta Injection Molding, Techmation Electric, Fortis Alberta and more. The King’s Heights industrial area is the east side connection to the 40 Avenue and QEII Highway Interchange and where the King’s Heights Fire Station is located.

The Southeast Airdrie CASP area currently accounts for approximately 2,384 jobs, representing roughly 15 per cent of our total storefront employment opportunities and 15 per cent of our total storefront business licenses.

Today approximately 8,658 people live in Southeast Airdrie with two schools within the community boundary, including one French immersion, with an anticipated population of 15,500 people at build out.

Currently it is about 76 per cent constructed with both King’s Heights and Ravenswood nearing completion and Lanark is this area’s newest residential community.
