The Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) make recommendations to Council on land use and planning items such as amendments to the Land Use Bylaw and Master Site Plan applications and makes decisions on applications referred to it by the Development Officer or Council.
Meetings are held in Council Chambers located at 400 Main Street on the first and third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. and are two to three hours in length. Meetings are live streamed and are open to the public.

Citizen Members are appointed annually by resolution of Council at the Organizational Meeting in October for a 12 month term commencing on January 1st and ending on December 31st.
Council appoints an Elected Official as Chair and Vice-Chair and are appointed on an annual basis by Council at the Organizational Meeting.
Must be current residents of the city of Airdrie and must be 18 years of age or older.
