Environmental Advisory Board

The Environmental Advisory Board (EAB) make recommendations to Council in the design and promotion of practical programs to enhance, protect and conserve Airdrie's environment and to share and celebrate our successes in a way that resonates with residents.

The EAB is mandated by the ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY BOARD BYLAw (pdf).

Environmental Advisory Board meetings

Meetings are held in Council Chambers located at 400 Main Street on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. and are one to two hours in length.  Meetings are live streamed and both in person and online are open to the public.

Environmental Advisory Board members

EAB positions are appointed by Council for up to a 12-month term from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 each year. Four members must be in attendance to meet quorum and positions include:

  • Five citizen members
  • Two elected official positions for Chair and Vice-Chair

How to join the Environmental Advisory Board

EAB members must be current residents of the city of Airdrie and must be 18 years of age or older.
