New Industrial Direct Control District - Bylaws No. B-40, B-41, B-42 & B-54/2022

NEW INDUSTRIAL DIRECT CONTROL DISTRICT (BYLAW NO. B-42/2022)

This public hearing is for any affected Airdrie resident to discuss this proposed amendment (Bylaw No. B-42/2022) to amend Land Use Bylaw B-01/2016 by adding a new Direct Control District (Direct Control Bylaw 51) by redistricting 3.675 hectares (9.08 acres) of land legally described as a portion of Lot 1, Block 1, Plan 891 0316 from Rural Residential Four-Acre District (RR-4) to Direct Control Bylaw (DC-51) District and by redistricting 0.498 ha (1.23 ac) from RR-4 to Public Facilities District (P-2). And to redistrict 0.492 ha (1.21 ac) of Lot 5MR, Block 2, Plan 221 1206 from P-1, Public Open Space District to IB-2, Industrial Employment and by adding the IB-2, Industrial Employment District to the former road plan of Highland Park Lane NE. The proposed amendment is also accompanied by proposed:

  • Bylaw No. B-40/2022 being a bylaw to remove and dispose of 0.492 ha (1.21 ac) of Municipal Reserve located on land legally described as Lot 5MR, Block 2, Plan 221 1206;
  • Bylaw No. B-41/2022 being a bylaw to close a portion of Highland Park Lane NE immediately adjacent south of the subject site; and
  • Bylaw No. B-54/2022 being a bylaw to designate 0.498 ha (1.23 ac) of land legally described as Lot 4MR, Block 1, Plan (number to be determined) as Municipal Reserve.
