Received your invitation letter with a PIN? Complete the Social Well-Being Survey before March 31, 2023.
The City of Airdrie’s first Social Well-Being Survey will be conducted from March 6 — 31, 2023. All Airdrie households* will receive an invite to complete the survey, mailed to their home in early March. Watch for your letter in the mail as you will need it to complete the survey!
Social well-being is when people feel connected, supported and included in their community. So, we want to ask you, how are you doing? This survey will help us understand where our community is doing well and where we face challenges – informing our decision making and helping us to use our resources effectively.
We hope you will give us your feedback on your life in Airdrie so that as our city grows, we can continue to foster a welcoming community where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
By participating in this survey, you’ll have the opportunity to enter a draw for one of five annual Family Passes to Genesis Place!
*If you were invited to participate in the Social Well-Being Pilot Survey in Summer 2022, you will not receive a letter to participate in this survey round.
Your letter contains a unique PIN number at the top right corner of the page. This is your personal identification number required to complete the survey. Do not share your PIN with anyone. Responses submitted with duplicate PINs will be deleted and disqualified from the prize draw.
We ask that the member of your household, aged 15 years or older, whose birthday comes next, respond to this survey. This will help ensure we receive responses from a wide range of residents and give us a more accurate picture of our community.
Visit the URL in your letter or scan the QR code at the end of your letter on your tablet or mobile device.
After consenting to participate in the survey and clicking next, you'll be prompted to enter your unique PIN. The PIN can be found on the top right of your invite letter.
Please ensure that you’re entering the PIN in the correct format: letter-letter-number-number-letter-letter.
The survey will take you about 10-15 minutes to complete. Your participation is voluntary and you may exit at any time. If you are unsure how to answer or you do not want to answer a question, you may choose the "don't know/prefer not to say' option that is available on each question.
All data collected is confidential and your responses will not be linked to you, your computer, email address or other electronic identifiers. The data will be used solely for statistical purposes and results will be compiled and reported as percentages, averages, etc. Find out more about the privacy and confidentiality of the Social Well-Being Survey below.
Once you have completed the survey, you will be given instructions on how to enter the prize draw for one of five annual family passes for Genesis Place. You will require your PIN when entering the draw, so keep your letter and PIN handy until you have finished the survey and entered the draw. The Social Well-Being Survey is designed and administered by the City of Airdrie’s Social Planning Department, and access to the data is limited to the project’s lead investigator. The data collected is confidential, and your responses will not be linked to you, your computer, email address, or other electronic identifiers. Please do not include your name or any other personal information that could be used to identify you in your responses to the survey questions. The survey is being collected using Qualtrics, a cloud-based software that stores data on secure servers in Canada.
The data collected will be associated with your individual PIN and your neighbourhood (but not your address which is stored in a separate file) for the purposes of analysis by geographical area only. The data will be used solely for statistical purposes, and any results released will be compiled and reported as percentages, averages, etc. Individual responses will never be reported or released publicly.
The personal information in this survey is collected under the authority of Section 33(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (“the Act”) and will be used solely for the purposes of the City of Airdrie’s Social Well-Being Survey as described above. It will be treated in accordance with the privacy protection provision of Part 2 of the Act.
