This grant supports events, programs and initiatives that bring Downtown Airdrie to life. It’s designed to help create vibrant, inclusive and engaging experiences that connect people and celebrate community.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing, first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted or the program ends, whichever comes first. Early applications are encouraged to maximize funding opportunities. To be considered, applicants must clearly demonstrate how their project aligns with and supports the goals of the grant (outlined below) within their application.

Your application should include:
Use public or underused spaces in creative ways.
Example: A pop-up art gallery in a vacant storefront featuring local artists and live painting.
Foster meaningful interactions and shared experiences.
Example: A community storytelling night with resident speakers and a social mixer.
Build bridges between arts, culture, business, and tourism.
Example: A weekend cultural festival with performances, food vendors, and guided tours.
Ensure your event is welcoming to everyone.
Example: A multilingual outdoor film screening with closed captions and accessible seating.
Funding is not available for:
Ineligible expenses:
Staff wages or volunteer honorariums
Alcohol, prizes or gift cards
Travel, accommodation or fundraising
Political promotion or religious activities
Equipment you plan to keep (unless renting is not cost-effective and justified)
Major capital purchases (e.g., land, buildings, vehicles)
