Candidate profile: Darrell Belyk

I have proudly served as a City Councillor since 2013 and am now seeking a fourth term. I remain deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life for Airdrie residents. With a strong background in management, I also contribute to our community as:

• Director at Large, Airdrie Public Library
• Member, Community Safety & Social Services Governance Board
• Councillor Representative, Airdrie Board of Youth Affairs (ABYA)

Looking ahead, my priorities include: Advocating for Seniors: I am dedicated to ensuring seniors have access to the support and services they need to live with dignity and independence. Affordable Housing: I will continue to push for practical housing options so moderate and low-income families can find and maintain a place to call home. I believe recreation is key to healthy, connected communities. I am dedicated to improving parks, trails, and facilities for all ages and abilities. Responsible Growth: I support balanced development that respects the environment and existing neighbourhoods. Smart infrastructure planning must keep pace with growth.

I am passionate about building an inclusive, thriving Airdrie, and I am just getting started.
