Made for the Stage incorporates all aspects of theatre training including acting, drama techniques, skill development, monologue and audition preparation, technical skills such as lighting and sound design, makeup artistry, and costume and prop/set design. If being part of the technical crew interests you more than being in front of the audience, there is still a place for you at BCT! Sound designers will develop the music and sound effects; lightening designers will develop the “look”, makeup artists will prepare the actors, costume designers will develop the character’s look, and finally prop/set design will develop the stage for the story.

Tuesday 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Feb. 6, 2018 to Apr 10, 2018

*No experience required!
Act 2: (suggested ages 11-16)
Wednesday 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Feb. 7 to April 11, 2018
This class will encourage and challenge developing young actors. Actors will have mock auditions wherein they'll receive feedback to develop their skills. They'll get a part in a play written or picked especially for them. Interested in the technical side of theatre? Makeup, or costume or prop design? Stage management or even directing? The Amateurs is a safe program to learn more and develop these skills in a practical way. Due to its nature, Amateurs can only take on one "assistant director" and one "stage manager" per semester and will take serious requests at a first come, first served basis.
