There are a variety of festivals and events in Airdrie that take place throughout the year, showcasing arts, culture, heritage, recreation and sport. For more information on what's happening in and around Airdrie, check out the links below.


Airdrie Festival of Lights

The Airdrie Festival of Lights glows nightly from Dec. 1 - 31 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Nose Creek Park.


Santa Claus Parade

The Santa Claus Parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019 on Main Street in Airdrie. Parade starts at 5 p.m. Roads close at 4:30 p.m. and reopen 30 minutes after the last float leaves Main Street.

New Year's Eve Fireworks

The New Year's Eve fireworks will take place on December 31 at Ed Eggerer Athletic Park at 6:30 p.m. Learn more by visiting Airdrie Parades and Fireworks.

Airdrie Pro Rodeo

The Airdrie Pro Rodeo is one of the largest rodeos in Canada, and is the longest standing athletic event in Airdrie. The Rodeo next pro Rodeo will be in 2020.


Canada Day Parade and Fireworks

The Canada Day Parade will take place on July 1, 2020.

In previous years the parade starts at 10 a.m. on Main Street in Airdrie, and the fireworks take place at Chinook Winds Park starting at dusk. Main Street will be closed beginning at 9 a.m. until approximately noon to accommodate the parade. Access to Urgent Care

Starting at 9 a.m., two access points to Urgent Care (at Allen Street and Main Street, and First Avenue north and Main Street) will be manned by Emergency Responders who can provide a preliminary patient assessment and/or escort to the Urgent Care Centre.

The curb lane closest to the Urgent Care Centre, between First Avenue north and Allen Street, will be blocked off to ensure access to Urgent Care. Residents are encouraged to walk or car pool as there will be limited parking in the area throughout the day; the Urgent Care parking lot is strictly for Urgent Care patients and staff members.

airdrieFEST celebrates all that's Airdrie!

airdrieFEST is Airdrie's annual afternoon family street festival that is normally held the first Saturday of September.
