Genesis Place offers a wide range of programs and services to suit your training needs and help you reach your fitness goals. This includes a state of the art fitness centre, drop-in dry land classes, and personal training designed to keep you motivated and active.

Did you know?

All of our trainers have a minimum to year diploma or a Bachelor and/or Masters degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, Physical Education or Human Kinetics and have more or more certificates through the following organizations; Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology, National Strength and Conditioning Association and Alberta Fitness & Leadership Certification Association.

Older adult fitness programs

Physical activity is very important to your overall health, well-being and quality of life. Every step counts! Adding any amount of exercise can provide some heath benefits. Regular exercise maintains strength and flexibility, balance and coordination and can help reduce the risk of falls.

Wellness workshops are complimentary for pass holders.

Fall Prevention Workshop (Ages 16+) 

Did you know that falls are the leading cause of injuries and hospitalization in older Canadians? Learn how to prevent falls with basic strength and balance exercises that can be done at home or the gym. This workshop will provide tips on how to get up from a fall and help you identify other risk factors that can contribute to falls. 

Movement Essentials (Ages 16+) 

Take the mystery out of movement in this personal trainer led workshop. This workshop will introduce the five fundamental movement patterns and give you strategies to incorporate these movements into your own workouts.
