Airdrie Economic Development team

Kent Rupert, Economic Development Team Leader
Kent has been with Airdrie Economic Development for 13 years. During that time, he’s seen Airdrie grow from 21,000 to more than 60,000 residents and he has grown the economic development department to a team of five that has won national and international awards for its work. Kent’s experience includes strategic planning, mediation, community and economic development and marketing. He has been involved in a number
of boards, including a Past President of Economic Developers Alberta.

 


Sara Chamberlain, Economic Development Officer
Sara brings more than 10 years of experience in economic development and communications to her role. She holds a Bachelor’s degrees in Political Studies and Public Relations, and earned the certified Economic Developer designation (Ec.D) in October 2011. Sara joined the team in 2007 and is responsible for marketing/communications and business development. Sara is the current Past President of Economic Developers Alberta.

 


Tara Levick, Economic Development Officer 
Tara joined the team in April 2011. She holds a Diploma in Administrative Information Management from SAIT and is highly skilled in event planning, graphic design and information management. Tara has also complete her Year 1 Economic Development from the University of Waterloo. Tara was born and raised in Airdrie and has no plans to leave.

 


Stephanie Rabel, Administrative Assistant
Stephanie joined the team in June 2017. She holds a Diploma in Business Administration with a major in marketing from RDC along with an Event Management Certificate from Mount Royal University. She comes to the team with a strong background in events and a passion for small businesses in Airdrie. Stephanie was born in raised on a farm just outside of the village of Delia so her roots for a small town life run deep.
