RCMP

The RCMP is Canada's national police service, providing law enforcement services in detachments across the country. The City of Airdrie contracts the RCMP to provide police services for citizens and provides the RCMP with civilian support staff.

The Airdrie RCMP detachment is made up of several units:  

  1. Airdrie Municipal Policing
  2. Rural Provincial Policing 
  3. Integrated Provincial Traffic Services
  4. Victim Services Unit
  5. General Investigations Section
  6. Crime Reduction Unit
  7. Mental Health Addictions Liaison Team
  8. Domestic Violence Unit
  9. Municipal Traffic Services
  10. Community Liaison Unit (media relations, School and Community Resource Officers, bike patrol)
