City pathways benefit from Christmas tree chipping

AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – The City of Airdrie Waste & Recycling department is hosting its annual Christmas tree chipping event. Representatives from the City, FortisAlberta and Asplundh will participate in the tree chipping.

Date: Saturday, February 2, 2013

Time: 9 a.m.

Location: Eastside Recycle Depot (15 Eastlake Hill, Airdrie, AB)

FortisAlberta and Asplundh are once again donating the equipment and time to complete the tree chipping.

Tree drop-off took place December 27 to February 1. Thank you to the residents who participated in this program by dropping off their Christmas trees after the holidays, at Eastside Recycle Depot.

The mulch from this program will be used at Iron Horse Park and throughout City of Airdrie parks and pathways.
