April 30, 2013 / For Immediate Release
AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – The City of Airdrie is hosting the 3rd annual Doggie Doo Day on May 4, 2013 at all five Airdrie off leash parks.
“Doggie Doo Day brings together residents, parks staff and Council members to show pride in our local dog parks and bring awareness to the need to clean up after your pet,” says Archie Lang, Operations Manager of Parks and Public Works.
From 9:30 a.m. until noon City staff and residents will work together to clean up our local off leash areas and have some fun too.
“It is also a great opportunity for dog owners to talk to City staff about our off leash areas to have any questions answered and provide feedback to us,” added Lang.
Dog owners are encouraged to come out and volunteer their time with City staff to ensure all off leash areas get a good spring cleaning.
Mayor Peter Brown will be at the Nose Creek Park off leash area at 9:30 a.m.. Media are invited to attend this time and location for photo opportunities as well.
