City launches utilities eBilling

AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – Go paperless. Help keep our city green and sign up to receive your City of Airdrie utility bill by email. Better for the environment, direct delivery to your inbox and easy to track.

Starting today, anyone with a City of Airdrie utility account has the option to sign up to receive their City utility bills by email, and in doing so, be entered in for a chance to win a $100 credit on their bill.

“Utility eBilling is one more step towards achieving Council’s strategic goal of providing focused customer service,” explained city manager Paul Schulz. “By increasing our customer service options, we are enabling our citizens and business owners to conduct their business needs with the City in the way that is the most convenient for them.”

The City mails out an average of 8,000 utility bills each month for water, sewer, garbage collection and environmental service fees. This adds up to a lot of paper ending up in local landfills. Residents are encouraged to do their part to help keep our city green and sign up to receive their City utility bill by email.

“Not only does this solution benefit the environment and result in cost savings in the printing and mailing of our utility bills, it also provides our customers with a service that they have been requesting for some time,” said Utility Administration team leader Shannon Schindeler.

City utility customers are also encouraged to sign up for the monthly payment plan and never worry about missing a payment again. Combine paperless billing with a monthly budget plan for worry-free bill payment and an environmentally responsible choice.
