Planning initiatives

There are a number of planning initiatives underway to plan for Airdrie's future and ensure our community remains a vibrant, attractive and economically successful place to live, work and play. More information on these initiatives can be found in the 'Quick Links' on the right.

Volunteers Needed

Land Use Bylaw Advisory Group

The Land Use Bylaw Advisory Group, formerly known as the Land Use Bylaw Review Forum, was created to provide input to administration on the implementation and sustainment of Airdrie’s Land Use Bylaw (LUB). The Group provides recommendations to the Manager of Community Growth to ensure that the LUB continues to address best practices, emerging issues and trends, process challenges and other community issues and concerns while maintaining good planning principles and contributing to the overall public benefit.

The Group meets at least once quarterly and the specific meeting schedule is determined by the members. Meetings have typically been held Tuesday afternoons (3 - 4:30 p.m.) according to availability of Group members and supporting City of Airdrie administration.

The City is still seeking representatives from local businesses and residents-at-large to participate in the Land Use Bylaw Advisory Group.

Applications for these members will remain open until the Group membership is filled.

If you are interested in serving on the Group, please submit an application form for consideration by the Manager of Community Growth.

For further information, please review the Terms of Reference for the Group or contact Planning at 403.948.8848.
