Planning for the future ensures ensures growth and development are managed wisely so that our community remains a vibrant, attractive and successful place to live, work and play.

There are a number of planning initiatives underway to plan for the future of Airdrie.  More information on these initiatives can be found in the 'Quick Links' on the right.


Volunteers Needed

Land Use Bylaw Stakeholder Review Forum

The Land Use Bylaw Review Forum is a newly created advisory body which provides input to administration on the implementation and sustainment of Airdrie’s Land Use Bylaw. The forum provides recommendations to the Manager of Community Growth to ensure that the Land Use Bylaw continues to address best practices, emerging issues and trends, process challenges, and other community issues and concerns while maintaining good planning principles and the overall public benefit.

The forum meets at least once quarterly and the meeting schedule, structure, and dates will be set by the members of the forum at their introductory meeting.

Application forms are being accepted for representitives of the following areas:
  • Development and building industry (3 members)
  • Economic and business industry (3 members)
  • Community Associations (1 member)
  • Residents-at-large or Special Interest Groups (3 members)

If you are interested in serving on the forum under one of the categories above, please submit an application form by February 12, 2018 and review the Terms of Reference.
