Close or delete accounts

If you no longer need access to myAIRDRIE (e.g. if you've moved to another city), you can delete your account.

Deleting your myAIRDRIE account does not close any linked services and you should only delete your account after your service accounts and outstanding balances have been resolved.

When your myAIRDRIE account is deleted:

  • All automatic credit card payment plans will stop,
  • All notifications will stop,
  • Account history will not be saved,
  • This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Cancel or remove a utility account

Registered property owners are the only ones able to cancel a utility account.

  • Renters: can remove utility accounts from their myAIRDRIE account but the service will remain active and linked to the property owner.
  • Property owners: should give 10 days notice and the cancellation date should be the date you give up possession of the property (e.g. key handover or selling date).

To cancel or remove an account from myAIRDRIE:

  • Go to Utilties and water use,
  • Select the Remove account link inside the property-specific section,
  • Complete and submit the form.

Remove a tax account

When you sell or transfer your property, this will be automatically reflected in your myAIRDRIE account and no action is needed to close accounts.

If you'd like to unlink a property from your myAIRDRIE account:

  • Go to Tax and assessment,
  • Select the Remove account link inside the property-specific section,
  • Complete and submit the form.
