Airdrie's new multi-use and library facility, Inspire, is opening this fall, with exciting opportunities to show case your skills to the community. The City is seeking artworks for exhibit within Inspire as well as emerging musicians to perform in Inspire's atrium this Nov. and Dec.
Seeking emerging artists to perform
We're seeking emerging musical artists to perform in Inspire's atrium for community concerts, open atelier and teen nights this Nov. and Dec. The following schedule is tentative and subject to change.
Open atelier with live music: Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Teen performance nights: Wednesdays from 5 - 6:30 p.m.
Community concert evenings: Thursdays from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Interested performers can submit an informal expression of interest until Aug. 31. Performers will be selected by a committee.
We're seeking submissions from local artists for an inaugural visual art exhibition at Inspire. This exhibition will showcase the talent and creativity of Airdrie's artists, celebrating the voices and stories that shape our community. We invite Airdrie-based artists of all visual arts backgrounds and disciplines to submit work for consideration.
The exhibition will run from Sept. 15 until Jan. 15, 2026.
Submissions are required by: May 24, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST
A guest curator, in collaboration with the Community Art Selection Committee, will review submissions and select artworks. We seek to embody the word 'Inspire' with this exhibition, where the word means to excite, encourage or breathe life into. Artists are encouraged to submit work that relates to the following prompt:
"Much like the act of taking breath, art has the power to ground us, to invigorate and to expand our horizons and future-thinking."
