Cat ownership

The City of Airdrie's ANIMAL CONTROL BYLAWS outlines the responsibilities of cat ownership.  Please refer to the bylaw for more information.

The bylaw states that cat owners:

  • purchase a cat licence once their cat is three months old
  •  ensure the licence tag is worn by the cat when it is outside of the home
  • adhere to three cats or less per household
  • do not allow cats to run at large
