Voting in the Municipal Election

This page is about the Airdrie Municipal Election held in October. For the 2025 Federal Elections, contact elections Canada.


All voters must be on the permanent Electors Registry to vote. There is a single voters list for provincial and municipal elections. By registering for the provincial election, you are automatically registered to vote in the Airdrie Municipal Election.

Voting eligibility

You are eligible to vote in the General Election if on Election Day you:

  • are at least 18 years old,
  • are a Canadian citizen,
  • are a resident of the City of Airdrie on Election Day, and
  • provide one of the authorized pieces of identification. ID requirements for a municipal election are different than provincial and federal elections.

Key voting dates and locations for the 2025 Airdrie Municipal Election

Advance vote at the Town and Country Centre: Oct. 8, 11, 14 and 17
Advance vote at City Hall (late night): Oct. 6 - 10, 4:30 - 10 p.m.
Advance vote at City Hall (early morning): Oct. 14 - 17, 6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Election Day: Oct. 20
